Growing up
As a kid I was obsessed with sketching and painting. It was my dream to become an artist. I read books of history of art and culture. My work was often influenced by expressionism and I loved making portraits. I dedicated tremendous amounts of time to getting facial expressions perfect which I later realized, was a direct result of my gift of understanding human emotions particularly well. I was able to empathize with people and loved hearing their stories of pain and joy. I remember growing up I often thought about making people happy by trying to solve their problems.
Discovering my passion
My Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Design developed my technical skills and made me an engineer. However, during my under graduation, I realized I’m not as interested in technology itself as its potential to impact human live to make this world a better place. I decided to leverage my gift of empathy. I put all my efforts into solving complex societal issues to help people. I delved deeper into the field of Human Centered Design and became a User Experience Designer to solve human needs.
